Packing Heavy Items Into Large
Packing the heaviest items into the largest boxes you have can lead to catastrophic damage to your property. It can injure our workers as the boxes can be way too heavy to lift or move. Although our crews always where safety equipment like boots, moving belts and gloves, moving is still a very dangerous job and we want to keep our worker’s injury free and you and your family safe.
Forgetting to Label Boxes
One of the absolute worst things that you can do that will be almost guaranteed to give you massive headaches down the road is forgetting to label your boxes. It is imperative that you mark your boxes so that you can quickly figure out where the boxes go to in your new apartment, home or office. If it goes in the kitchen then clearly mark It KITCHEN. If it goes in the living room then clearly mark It LIVING ROOM. In addition to that, if your items are fragile mark them so. You may also want to mark the top of the box as in “this side up” for instance, that will be very helpful to keeping your items safe as we move them.
Packing Flammable Items
Do not ever, under any circumstances whatsoever, pack flammable or explosive items along with all common items included in your moving job. Packing hazardous materials left by commercial construction companies can cause a fire or an explosion, and it can endanger the welfare of our workers and threaten your safety as well. DON’T DO IT EVER.
